Machine set-up and preliminary checks
1 - Connecting the power cables
- Connect the power plug of the mortat pump motor to the socket [1].
- Connect the power plug of the compressor to the socket [2].
2 - Connecting the pipes
- Connect the material pipe [1] to the pump flange [2].
- Connect the water hose to the quick coupling [3] on the top of the mixing chamber.
3 - Air hose connection
- Connect the air hose [1] to the compressor.
- Connect the gun air hose to the fitting [2].
- Connect the gun [3] to the ends of the material hoses [4] and air hoses [5].Connect the air hose [1] to the compressor.
4 - Preliminary checks (1)
Check that:
- The hopper protection grid is fixed correctly using the screw [1] shown in the image.
- The mixing unit is locked correctly [2].
- The reducer locking hook is tightened properly [3].
5 - Preliminary checks (2)
Check that:
- The cell wheel switch [3] is set to zero.
- The main switch [1] is set to zero.
- The pump switch [2] is set to zero.
6 - Electrical connection
Connect the power cable to the socket [1] located on the machine frame.
Connect the machine to a 16 A, 230 V power source. The cables must not exceed 30 m in length (2 phases + earth, each 6 mm2).
- If using a three-phase generator, at least 20 KVA is required.
- If using a single-phase generator, at least 10 KVA is required.
7 - Water pipes connection
- Connect the water pump [1] to the tap or to a drum* of clean water with a hose with an internal diameter of 25 mm.
*Giotto starts working ONLY if it detects the presence of water (if you use a drum, you will first have to prime the pump and then place the drum in a higher position).
8 - Mortar pipe connection
Connect the material and air hose:
- Connect the material hose to the pump outlet and the gun [1].
- Connect the air hose to the pump outlet and the gun [2].
Then open the air tap on the gun.
9 - Preliminary checks (3)
Check that:
- the air tap [1] on the gun is open.
- the water service tap [2] is closed.
10 - Preliminary checks (4)
- Connect the water supply hose to the water pump quick coupling [1].
- Check that the pump is primed by opening the tap [2], if the connection is correct, water will flow out.
11 - Preliminary checks (5)
Set the main selector [1] to I/ON.
Check that:
- The blue light [2] is on indicating the presence of voltage.
- The green light [3] is on indicating that the water is pressurized.
- The compressor starts.
