Machine set-up and preliminary checks
Preliminary operations (1)
- Place the machine in a position that is as horizontal as possible, the maximum slope allowed is 5° both longitudinally and transversally;
- The machine must be positioned at the point of the construction site that allows the best use of the radius of action of the pipes.
Preliminary operations (2)
- Lower the 3 stabilizing feet (1) and lock them;
- Use wooden beams of adequate size to stabilize the foldable foot located under the mixer;
- Block the wheels with the appropriate parking wedges (2).
Make sure that the machine rests on the ground in a stable manner!
*There must be passages around the machine, free from any encumbrance and with a walking surface without holes or dangerous protrusions.
Preliminary operations (3)
Pipeline:
- Lay out the pipes, limiting their length as much as possible (this reduces wear), while checking that they are in good condition;
- The first 10 m of pipeline during pumping have oscillations of a few centimetres: it is best to keep this section of pipeline raised from the ground to avoid premature wear of the pipes themselves.
Pipeline anchoring:
- The pipeline must be properly anchored: use the pipe holder to anchor the vertical sections (it must always be positioned under the joint) and the special pipe holder for arrival at the floor (1);
- In the case of using pipes with Victaulic fittings, any vertical section must be fixed and supported using the appropriate collars.
Preliminary operations (4)
Camlock couplings:
When connecting the pipe sections, check that the rubber gasket (1) is present, tighten the levers (2) completely.
- Pipes ø35x49mm:
Length of 10 or 20 meters for maximum pumpable grain size 0-8mm;
- Pipes ø50x66mm:
Length of 10 or 20 meters for maximum pumpable grain size 0-16mm.
Preliminary operations (5)
Victaulic couplings:
When connecting the pipe sections, check that the rubber gasket (1) is present, tighten the lever, taking care to insert the safety catch (2).
- Pipes ø76x103mm:
Length of 10 meters for maximum pumpable grain size of 16-18mm.
Preliminary operations (6)
Connections
- Connect the material hose (1) to the screw pump;
- Connect the air hose to the pneumatic control connection (2);
- Connect the gun to the end of the material hose (when using the gun for traditional mortars, remove the gasket housed inside the fitting);
- Lock the joint levers using the safety spring (3) and connect the air hose, tightening the fittings well.
Preliminary operations (7)
Compressor oil level
- The lubricant level must be visible on the inspection glass (1);
- If necessary, top up with ELF DACNIS P150 oil or equivalent.
Hydraulic circuit oil level
- The lubricant level must be visible on the inspection glass (3) of the hydraulic oil tank;
- To top up, use ELF OLNA DS46 oil or equivalent, by acting on the appropriate filler cap (2).
Preliminary operations (8)
Engine oil level
- Check the engine oil level (1);
Coolant level
- The exchanger cap must never be removed when the engine is hot due to the risk of boiling liquid spilling out;
- After removing the cap on the exchanger, check that the liquid level is 2-3cm from the cap, top up if necessary with a mixture of water and antifreeze in the percentage indicated on the container of the latter;
- Any excess coolant is discharged during the first warm-up of the engine.
Preliminary operations (9)
Diesel level
- It is good practice to top up the diesel tank at the end of the work shift to avoid condensation problems in the tank;
Pneumatic system
- Check that the service tap (1) is closed.
*After any repair or maintenance work, make sure that all the protection devices (crankcase, belts, fan grill, etc.) are reassembled and that no tools have been left inside the engine compartment. Tools or rags left inside can cause, among other things, the cooling fan to break.
Preliminary operations (10) - Warnings
- It is absolutely forbidden to tamper with, exclude and/or remove any safety device present in the machine;
- It is forbidden to replace any safety device or its component with non-original spare parts;
- It is mandatory to constantly check the proper functioning of all safety devices installed in the machine;
- It is mandatory to promptly replace any malfunctioning and/or damaged safety devices.
