Machine start-up and cleaning operations
Machine start-up (1)
- Prepare the desired mortar to be pumped, mix separately otherwise 15/20 liters of mortar (50% water + 50% cement or lime) and pour into the hopper;
- Check that the general air delivery valve is open (1), that the auxiliary air delivery valve is closed (2) and that the air delivery valve on the gun is open (3);
- Also check that the bypass lever is in the vertical position (recycle).
Machine start-up (2)
- Restart the machine and check that it is working correctly: open and close the air delivery tap (3) two or three times, to make sure that the pneumatic remote control works correctly and that the motor stops correctly;
- Move the bypass lever (1) to the vertical recycling position;
- Discharge the grout into the machine hopper;
- Start the machine by opening the air delivery tap on the gun (3): the pump will start to recycle the material into the hopper.
Machine start-up (3)
- If recycling does not occur, turn off the machine, open the delivery and suction caps and check that the ball valves and seats (1-2-3) are in place.
- If necessary, pour some mud into the valve group and start again.
- If recycling is correct, move the bypass lever to the horizontal position: the machine will start pumping the mortar into the pipes.
Machine start-up (4)
- Before most of the grout passes through the pump and hoses, activate the vibrating screen from the control panel and pour in the previously prepared grout;
- The grout coming out of the gun can be collected in a bucket and recycled, after which the grout will flow and everything will be ready to start the spraying work;
- Now the machine is operational and can be stopped by acting on the air valve located on the gun (1);
- Normally, when the machine stops, the operator must move the bypass lever to the recirculation (vertical) position. At the next start, return the lever to the pumping (horizontal) position.
Machine start-up (5)
Normally, when the machine stops, the operator should move the bypass lever (1) to the recycling position (vertical).
When starting up again, return the lever to the pumping position (horizontal).
This is to avoid potential material losses during long stops.
Machine start-up (6)
- During prolonged stops, open the drain tap (1) and position the bypass lever (2) vertically so that the material is recycled into the hopper;
- Check that the level of mortar in the hopper is always such that it covers the agitator;
Warning: the machine must always work with material or water in the hopper to avoid premature wear of the piston.
*It is forbidden to point the gun at other people. If the gun is clogged, under no circumstances should you look into the gun deflector. The sudden release of the clogged part or of the mortar under pressure could cause dangerous accidents.
**During all operations, the air taps must be fully open or fully closed. Partial opening causes the machine to stop immediately.
Cleaning operations (1)
Stop the machine by closing the air delivery valve when the mortar level in the hopper is low and the agitator in the hopper is visible.
Put the bypass lever in the vertical position (1) and check that the pressure gauge drops to 0 bar (2).
Then turn the main switch to the "0" position.
Cleaning operations (2)
- Dismantle the gun and wash it thoroughly, removing the deflector (1);
- Check that the nozzle photo (2) is free, otherwise clean this as well.
Cleaning operations (3)
Carefully remove and thoroughly wash the material discharge curve (1) and the bypass itself.
Cleaning operations (4)
Open the inspection caps (1) with the appropriate key (2) supplied with the machine.
Cleaning operations (5)
- Remove the inspection caps (1) of the valves and remove the two rubber balls (2) located inside and carefully wash the suction (4) and delivery (3) manifolds.
- Remove the drain cap (5) from the suction duct.
-
Wash the inside of the machine with a pressure washer, if possible: the hopper, the bypass, the inside of the valves and all those parts that have become dirty.
In plastering machines equipped with a built-in mixer (EMF version), you must first wash the mixer, taking care to open the material discharge door
*During washing operations, make sure that the bodywork is closed to protect the engine and other parts that could be damaged.
Cleaning operations (6)
- Once the gun has been completely washed, clean the material tube: insert the washing sponge into the tube, connect it to the machine (not to the gun), reassemble the valve group and the vibrating screen;
- Make sure that the inspection caps and the connection joint between the tube and the machine are well locked;
- Fill the hopper with water (taking care to keep it almost full until the washing is complete). Move the bypass lever to the horizontal position, turn on the machine and open the air valve;
The water will push out the washing sponge and this will release the mortar that is in the tube, washing the inside.
- Repeat the operation until clean water comes out of the pipe.
*At the end of the job it is preferable to spray the machine with a release agent
Cleaning operations (7) - Warnings
- The sponge may be violently ejected from the hose. Make sure the hose is facing in a direction where there is no risk of injury or damage to anything;*
- Never hold the end hose in your hand during washing, it is always better to block it firmly to a support;*
- If the hoses are clogged, the sponge will not be ejected immediately.*
- Before loosening any hose joints, make sure the pressure gauge indicates "0" and that there is no residual pressure inside the hoses.*
*For complete and detailed instructions, always refer to the user manual supplied with the machine.
