Machine set-up and preliminary checks
Preliminary operations (1)
Machine positioning
- Place the machine in a position that is as horizontal as possible, the maximum slope allowed is 5° both longitudinally and transversally;
- The machine must be positioned in the point of the construction site that allows the best use of the radius of action of the pipes.
Preliminary operations (2)
- Find a safe and efficient position;
- Lower the stabilizing foot to the ground (clockwise rotation of the crank);
- Lower the wedges (!) to block the wheels;
-
Remove the drawbar, once the machine is positioned, and place the components in a suitable place for storage.
N.B. This operation prevents the towing system from being damaged during use of the machine.
*There must be passages around the machine, free from any clutter and with a walking surface free of holes or dangerous protrusions.
Preliminary operations (3)
Pipeline
Lay out the pipes, limiting their length as much as possible (this reduces wear and possible blockages), while checking that they are in good condition.
The first 10m of pipe during pumping have oscillations of a few centimetres: for this reason it would be optimal to keep this section of pipe raised from the ground to avoid premature external wear of the pipes themselves.
Anchoring the pipes
The pipe line must be properly anchored: use the pipe holder to anchor the vertical sections (it must always be positioned under the joint) and the appropriate pipe holder for the arrival at the floor (1).
In the case of using pipes with Victaulic couplings, any vertical section must be fixed and supported using the appropriate collars.
Preliminary operations (4)
Camlock couplings
When connecting the pipe sections, check that the rubber gasket (1) is present and tighten the levers (2) completely.
-
Pipes ø35x49mm:
- length of 10 or 20 metres for a maximum pumpable grain size of 0-8mm;
-
Pipes ø50x66mm:
- length of 10 or 20 metres for a maximum pumpable grain size of 0-16mm.
*Always check that the fittings are efficient and clean
Preliminary operations (5)
Connections
- Connect the material hose (1) to the screw pump;
- Connect the air hose to the pneumatic control connection (2);
- Then connect the gun to the end of the material hose (when using a gun for traditional mortars, remove the gasket housed inside the fitting);
- Lock the joint levers using the special safety spring (3), and connect the air hose, tightening the fittings well.
Preliminary operations (6)
Compressor oil level
- The lubricant level must be visible on the inspection glass (1);
- If necessary, top up with ELF DACNIS P150 oil or equivalent.
Hydraulic circuit oil level
- The lubricant level must be visible on the inspection glass (3) of the oil tank;
- For top-ups, use ELF OLNA DS46 oil or equivalent, by acting on the appropriate filler cap (2).
Preliminary operations (7)
Engine oil level
- Check the engine oil level regularly;
Coolant level
- The exchanger cap must never be removed when the engine is hot due to the risk of boiling liquid spilling out;
- After removing the cap on the exchanger, check that the liquid level is 2-3 cm from the cap, top up if necessary with a mixture of water and antifreeze in the percentage indicated on the container of the latter;
- Any excess coolant is discharged during the first warm-up of the engine.
Preliminary operations (8)
Diesel level
- It is good practice to top up the diesel tank at the end of the shift to avoid condensation problems in the tank;
Pneumatic system
- Always check that the service tap (2) is closed;
*After any repair or maintenance work, make sure that all the protection devices (belt guard, fan grill, etc.) are reassembled and that no tools have been left inside the engine compartment or the material tank. Tools or rags left inside the engine compartment can cause, among other things, the cooling fan to break.
Preliminary operations (9)
- The hood must be lowered and closed with the lever locks (1) located on the sides of the machine. The engine air intakes must be free;
- Make sure that the mixer and hopper grills are closed;
- Make sure that the emergency button is off.
Preliminary operations (10)
- The pumping, mixing and pressure washer selectors must be in the neutral position. The operating mode tap must be in "ECO";
- Close the auxiliary tap (1), keep the main tap open (2) and close the tap on the gun;
- Turn the key one click clockwise, the red warning lights will light up for a few seconds, then only the oil and diesel lights will remain on;
- Start the engine with the ignition key once the glow plug light has gone out. If the engine does not start after 10 seconds on the first attempt, wait at least 40 seconds and try again.
*Too insistent and repeated starting attempts should be avoided (max 4/5 attempts).
Preliminary operations (11) - Warnings
- It is absolutely forbidden to tamper with, exclude and/or remove any safety device present in the machine;
- It is absolutely forbidden to replace any safety device or its component with non-original spare parts;
- It is mandatory to constantly check the correct functioning of all safety devices installed in the machine;
- It is mandatory to promptly replace any malfunctioning and/or damaged safety devices.
