Machine start-up and cleaning operations
Machine start-up (1)
- Start the engine by turning the main switch (1);
- The blue light (2) lights up indicating the correct power supply.
(If the light is off it means that the voltage is below a minimum acceptable value, so check the power line to the machine)
Machine start-up (2)
-
Prepare the desired mortar to be pumped and mix separately 15/20 litres of mortar (50% water + 50% cement or lime) to pour into the hopper;
-
Check that the general air delivery valve is open (1), that the service air delivery valve is closed (2) and that the air delivery valve on the gun is open (3);
- Also check that the bypass lever is in the vertical position.
Machine start-up (3)
-
Open and close the air delivery tap (3) two or three times to ensure that the pneumatic remote control is working correctly and that the engine is starting/stopping correctly;
-
Start the machine by opening the air delivery tap (3): the pump starts to recycle the sewage into the hopper;
- If recycling does not occur, turn off the machine, open the delivery and suction valves and check that the ball valves and seats are in place (if necessary, pour a little sewage into the valve group and restart).
Machine start-up (4)
-
If the recycling is correct, move the bypass lever to the horizontal position: the machine will start pumping the mortar into the pipes;
- Before most of the slurry passes through the pump and hoses, activate the vibrating sieve from the main board and pour in the previously prepared mortar;
The slurry that comes out of the gun can be collected in a bucket and recycled, after which the mortar will flow and you are ready to start spraying work.
- Now the machine is operational and can be stopped by acting on the air valve located on the gun.
Machine start-up (5)
-
Normally, when the machine stops, the operator should move the bypass lever (1) to the recycling position (vertical).
- At the next start, return the lever to the pumping position (horizontal)
This is to avoid potential material losses during long stops from pumping.
Machine start-up - Tips and warnings (6)
Warning
-
It is strictly forbidden to point the gun at other people;
-
If the gun is clogged, do not look into the gun deflector under any circumstances, as the sudden release of the clogged part or the mortar under pressure could cause dangerous accidents to the eyes;
- During all operations, the air valves must be fully open or fully closed. Partial opening causes the machine to stop.
Cleaning the machine (1)
- Stop the machine by closing the air delivery valve when the mortar level in the hopper is low and the agitator in the hopper is visible;
- Put the bypass lever in the vertical position (1) and check that the pressure gauge drops to 0 bar (2).
- Turn the main switch to the "0" position.
Cleaning the machine (2)
- Before loosening a joint in the material delivery line or disconnecting the spray gun, make sure that the pressure gauge indicates a pressure of 0 bar and that there is no residual pressure in the lines;
The operator must have been specifically trained to perform this operation;
- In particular, before opening a connection, make sure that there is no residual pressure in the hoses and that there are no other people nearby.
Cleaning the machine (3)
-
Dismantle the gun and wash it thoroughly, removing the deflector (1);
-
Check that the nozzle hole (2) is free (clean it if necessary);
- Dismantle the vibrating screen and wash it.
Cleaning the machine (4)
-
Remove and wash the intake and delivery valves carefully, taking care to wash with water in front of the piston;
-
Wash the inside of the machine with a pressure jet;
- During washing operations, make sure that the bodywork is closed to protect the engine and other parts that could be damaged and/or soiled by the pumped material.
Cleaning the machine (5)
Once the machine is completely washed, clean the mortar tube:
-
Insert the washing sponge into the tube;
-
Connect it to the machine (not to the gun), reassemble the valve group and the vibrating screen, so that the machine is ready for operation again;
- Make sure that the inspection caps and the connection joint between the mortar tube and the machine are well locked.
Cleaning the machine (6)
-
Fill the machine hopper with water, taking care to keep it almost full until the washing is complete;
-
Restart the pumping operations;
-
Move the bypass lever to the horizontal position, turn the main switch to position "1" and open the air valve;
- The water will push out the washing sponge and this will release the mortar that is in the tube, also washing the inside of the tube (make sure that the air discharge valve is open);
Repeat the operation until clean water comes out of the pipes
-
Remove the water remaining in the hopper by opening the pump suction manifold;
- At the end of the work it is preferable to spray the machine with a release agent.
Cleaning the machine - Tips and warnings (7)
-
The sponge may be violently ejected from the hose. Make sure the hose is facing in a direction where there is no risk of injury or damage to anything.*
-
Never hold the hose/end hose in your hand during washing, it is always better to block it securely to a support.*
-
If the hoses are blocked, the sponge will not be ejected immediately.*
- Before loosening any joints on the hose line make sure the pressure gauge indicates "0" and that there is no residual pressure in the hose.*
(*) For complete and detailed safety instructions, always refer to the user manual supplied with the machine.
