Machine set-up and preliminary checks

Preliminary checks (1)

Preliminary checks (1)
Positioning the machine
  • Prevent the movement of the chassis wheels by applying the parking brake (2);
  • Stabilize the front part by rotating the lever (1) to lower the wheel (3) until it touches the ground;
  • Insert the locking wedges (4,5);
  • Lower the stabilizers (6,7), in case of unstable ground, insert plates so that the support feet do not sink into the ground;
  • Prepare the material needed to clean the machine (water tank, sponges for washing, etc.).

Preliminary checks (2)

Preliminary checks (2)
Transport pipes

Attention:

- Lay out the pipes and prevent the pipes from twisting during the transport of the material;

- The first ten meters of pipe are subject to oscillations (a few centimeters) during pumping: it is advisable to raise this section from the ground and avoid resting it on edges or abrasive elements.

Anchor the pipes appropriately:
  • Horizontal pumping - To pump the material horizontally, simply lay out the pipe with the desired layout and connect it to the first section previously described;
  • Vertical pumping - The vertical section of pipe must be fixed and supported using the appropriate collars (1,2);
  • Downward pumping - The downward section of pipe must be fixed and supported using the appropriate collars.

Preliminary checks (3)

  • Leave at least 80cm of free space around the machine and prepare a work area free from holes and protruding edges that could be dangerous.

  • It is necessary to adopt measures both to slow the fall of the concrete in the downward section and to lubricate the pipes with grout before starting the pumping phases of the actual material.

Preliminary checks (4)
Couplings

Victaulic couplings
  • When connecting hoses, make sure the rubber gasket (28) is mounted;
  • Before firmly locking the lever, spread a light layer of grease on the gasket to prevent the material from sticking and ruining the rubber.
*Always make sure the joints are clean and properly locked.

Preliminary checks (5)

Preliminary checks (5)
First checks

Checking the hydraulic oil level

The oil level in the tank must be halfway up the level indicator (1 - above).

To top up:
  • Remove the cover (1 - below) by unscrewing the screws (2);
  • Unscrew the cap (3) and fill up to halfway up the level indicator. Use a clean funnel to avoid fluid leaks.
*Do not mix different oils, they can damage the components of the hydraulic system.

Preliminary checks (6)

Preliminary checks (6)
First checks
  • Check the engine oil level (especially after a long period of inactivity - see image);
  • Check the coolant level;
  • Check the diesel tank level (keep the tank full even if the machine will not be used for several days).
*The level must never exceed the maximum level mark. Checking the oil level, as well as any replacement, must be done with the machine in a horizontal position.

Preliminary checks (7)

Preliminary checks (7)
First checks
  • Before pumping the material, always fill the water cooling box for the pumping pistons with water;
  • During long-term operations, if necessary, top up the box.
*The cooling tank of the pumping unit must always be filled with water, NEVER LEAVE IT EMPTY.

Preliminary checks (8)

Preliminary checks (8)
Initial checks
  • Before pumping the material, always grease the unit via the centralized lubrication point.

    N.B. Always grease every 8 hours.

  • During long pumping operations, it is advisable to grease more often.

    N.B. Grease the pistons dedicated to the "S" valve at least once a week.
