Machine set-up and preliminary checks
Preliminary checks (1)
Machine positioning
- Place the machine in the most horizontal position possible: the maximum slope allowed is 5° both longitudinally and laterally;
- The machine must be positioned at the point of the construction site where it is possible to make the best use of the range of action of the pipes;
- Leave the stain resting on the square under the container using the towing wheel, pull the handbrake and block the wheels;
- Prepare the material necessary for cleaning the machine (water hose, washing sponges, etc.).
Preliminary checks (2)
Mortar pipes
- If the first section is horizontal, lift the hose near the machine (for example with a stand) so that the material does not settle and the air can escape freely. If there are long sections of hose (over 10-15 m) use a second stand;
- Use a hose clamp to anchor the vertical parts (it must always be positioned under the joint) and a specific hose clamp that reaches the horizontal surface provided.
Preliminary checks (3)
Check the compressor oil level
- Before unscrewing the cap to which the dipstick is fixed, check that there is no more pressure in the system (the pressure gauge must indicate 0 bar);
- The lubricant level must be between the two notches engraved on the dipstick, if necessary restore the oil level with AGIP DICREA 46.
*The level must never exceed the maximum level notch. The oil level check, as well as any replacement, must be carried out with the bucket in a horizontal position (lowered).
Preliminary checks (4)
Engine oil level check
- The level should almost always be at maximum;
- If necessary, restore the level with TOTAL RUBIA TIR 7400 oil.
*The level must never exceed the maximum level mark. The oil level check, as well as any replacement, must be carried out with the bucket in a horizontal position (lowered).
Preliminary checks (5)
Checking the radiator coolant level
- The oil level in the hydraulic circuit can be checked using the sight glass (29). To replace the oil (30), use ELFO OLNA DS46.
Checking the diesel tank level
- It is good practice to top up the diesel level in the tank at the end of work, to avoid condensation problems in the tank itself.
*The level must never exceed the maximum level mark. The oil level check, as well as any replacement, must be carried out with the bucket in a horizontal position (lowered).
Preliminary checks (6)
- Check that the service tap (18) is closed;
- Check that the operation/service key (22) is in the position to use the machine as a mixer and conveyor.
*After carrying out any repair or maintenance operation, check that all the protection devices (motor belt guard, exhaust pipe guard, belt guard, fan grill, etc.) have been reassembled and that no tools have been left inside the motor casing or the material tank.
Preliminary checks (7)
- Check that the protective grille (31) located in the opening of the material tank is present and fixed correctly;
- Check that the diverter valve lever (32) serving the grille is closed; Otherwise, the mixer rotation is disabled.
*The diverter valve lever must be completely closed; Otherwise it will quickly be damaged due to the loss of oil pressure.
Preliminary checks (8) - Warnings
- After carrying out any repair or maintenance operation, check that all the protective devices (engine belt guard, exhaust pipe guard, etc.) have been refitted and that no tools have been left inside the engine casing or the material tank;
- Leaving tools or rags inside the engine housing can cause, among other potential damage, the breakage of the cooling fan;
- Check that the hood is closed and that no objects are placed on the ventilation door, which automatically lifts when the machine is turned on to allow air to escape (see photo above);
- Leave at least 80cm of free space around the machine and prepare a work area free from holes and protruding edges that could be dangerous;
- Use only flexible hoses and coupling devices originally supplied with the machine.
*For complete and detailed safety instructions, always refer to the user manual supplied with the machine.

Preventive measures
After completing the work, it is preferable to wash the machine with a release agent.
- Grease the agitator with the machine running (at points 49 and 50), using the grease pump supplied. For the operation to be correct, the grease must come out from inside the material tank;
- Also grease: hinge of the protection grille (53), key of the safety lever (54) and bolts of the connection plate (55).
*If you forget to carry out this operation, the sealing joints and supports will quickly be damaged. At this point, before the chrome coating of the mixing shaft is damaged, any damaged supports and gaskets must be replaced immediately.

At the end of the work (2)
- On the DCB and DCBP versions, grease the four grease points shown in the image.
*If you forget to do this, the sealing joints and bearings will quickly become damaged. Any damaged bearings and seals should now be replaced immediately before the chrome coating of the mixer shaft is damaged.
