Machine start-up and cleaning operations
Machine start-up (1)
1. Pour two or three buckets (about 30 litres) of grout (50% water, 50% cement or lime) into the hopper;
N.B. With premixed materials in the absence of grout, use a slightly more fluid material than normal initially.
2. Open the air delivery tap (1) on the machine and the air tap (3) on the gun;
3. Start the pump using the start/stop button: the pump will begin to pump the grout previously poured into the hopper (adjust the flow rate according to needs)
*Regularly check the pumping pressure indicated by the pressure gauge on the pump outlet manifold during work.
Machine start-up (2)
4. When the grout previously poured into the hopper has been pumped, stop the machine by closing the air tap (3) on the gun;
5. Pour the mixture into the hopper and start pumping by opening the air tap on the gun;
6. When no more grout comes out of the gun but mortar, start working normally.
*Regularly check the pumping pressure indicated by the pressure gauge located on the pump outlet manifold during work.
Machine start-up (3)
Once the last mixture has been pumped (better if a little more fluid than normal), when you start to see the agitator propeller, stop the pump:
- Closing the air delivery tap (1);
- Stopping the mortar pump with the start/stop button (2);
- Subsequently also stopping the mixer (version "/MP") by setting the main mixer switch to "0".
*Regularly check the pumping pressure indicated by the pressure gauge located on the pump outlet manifold during work.
Machine start-up (4) - Warnings
- Always keep the hopper loaded during the entire pumping phase;
- Fix the pump unit firmly;
- Never open the connections of the pressure pipes;
- Do not work with long lines of piping to preserve the life of the auger and stator.
Cleaning operations (1)
- Remove the gun and wash it thoroughly by removing the deflector (2);
- Check that the nozzle hole (1) is free (clean it if necessary);
- Disconnect the pipes from the pump from a lot and insert a washing sponge into the mouth of the pipe (3);
- Open the hopper door and with a jet of water wash thoroughly first the mixer and then the hopper.
*When washing the machine, never direct the jet towards the electrical panel, the electric motors and people.
Cleaning operations (2)
- Close the hopper discharge door and fill it with water;
- Start pumping and pump the water until it comes out clean from the pump;
- Stop pumping, insert the washing sponge into the tube and reconnect the tubing to the pump;
-
Start the machine again and pump the water until the sponge comes out of the tubes.
If the sponge is unable to get the material out of the tubes, it means that the pressure exerted by the pump on the water is insufficient
*Use suitable protection, especially for hands and eyes.
Cleaning operations (3) - Warnings
- The sponge may be ejected from the pipework in a violent manner. Make sure that the pipework points in a direction where there is no risk of injury to people or property;*
- Never hold the terminal pipe in your hands during cleaning operations, it is advisable to fix it firmly to a support;*
- If the pipes become clogged, the sponge will not be ejected immediately. Refer to the instructions in the supplied manual;*
- Before loosening any joints, make sure that the pressure gauge indicates that the pressure is at "0" and that there is no residual pressure inside the pipes.*
*Always refer to the manual supplied with the machine for complete and detailed safety instructions.
At the end of the work
At the end of the work, remember to:
- Grease the stirrer support (1) using the grease pump supplied with the machine;
For the operation to be carried out correctly, the grease must come out of the sealing cups inside the hopper.
